Anand Menon directs the Economic and Social Research Council initiative, UK in a Changing Europe, which promotes rigorous, high-quality, and independent research into the relationship between the UK and the EU. It is coordinated from King's College London, where Anand is Professor of European Politics and Foreign Affairs.

Before joining King's College, Anand was Professor of West European Politics, and founding Director of the European Research Institute at the University of Birmingham. Prior to that, he held academic positions at St Antony's College, Oxford, and Sciences Po in Paris.
Anand is an associate fellow of Chatham House and Senior Associate member of Nuffield College, Oxford. He has served on various boards and committees, including the Cabinet Office's European Strategy and Policy Committee, and is a former special adviser to the House of Lords EU committee.  Also a valued Hon Member of the Keele World Affairs Advisory Panel.

He has written widely on many aspects of EU politics and policy, has spoken at numerous high-profile events and conferences and is a frequent contributor to the media on matters relating to British relations with the EU.

His books include Brexit and British Politics (co-authored) and Europe: The State of the Union and he has written for the Financial Times, Prospect, The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, The Times, and Le Monde.
