Anand Menon is Professor of European Politics and Foreign Affairs at King's College London. He directs the Economic and Social Research Council Initiative, The UK in a Changing Europe, which promotes rigorous, high-quality and independent research and provides an authoritative, non-partisan and impartial reference point for those looking for analysis of UK-EU relations.

Before joining King's College, Anand was Professor of West European Politics and founding Director of the European Research Institute at the University of Birmingham. Prior to that, he was a lecturer in European Politics and Fellow of St Antony's College, Oxford. He has held visiting positions at New York University, Columbia University and the Université Libre de Bruxelles.

Anand is an associate fellow of Chatham House and Senior Associate member of Nuffield College, Oxford. He is co-editor of the journal West European Politics and has written for the Financial Times, Prospect, The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, The Times and Le Monde.

He is a frequent commentator on national and international broadcast media and has made several radio documentaries on contemporary politics. Anand is co-author of Brexit and British Politics;(2017) and author of Europe: The State of the Union (2008).
